Enabled IT and facilities teams to deliver timely, targeted announcements
Added survey and reporting capabilities for collecting staff feedback
Company overview
The Broadcasting Board of Governors, now known as the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM), is a global media networking agency. It is a conglomerate of some of the largest media organizations in the U.S.
Summary
Email notifications weren’t fast or versatile enough for the Broadcasting Board of Governors’ communication needs. So they deployed DeskAlerts as their primary internal communication tool, using it to send IT alerts, facilities updates, and building notices. With DeskAlerts, they replaced email for key announcements, improved message delivery speed, and added survey capabilities to gather staff feedback in real time.

Challenge
BBG was looking for a reliable notifications solution to replace its email system.
Solution
Deploying DeskAlerts checked the initial boxes and more, providing survey/reporting capabilities on top of a plain notifications system.

We use DeskAlerts in-house to broadcast announcements, such as software update alerts. An example would be QuickTime software removal from desktops. Facilities also utilize DeskAlerts for building outages and parking notices.

Result
With its easy-to-use interface, BBG quickly trained publishers and began using DeskAlerts as its primary internal communications tool.

I would highly recommend DeskAlerts. It has an easy-to-use interface and is simple to install. It can serve as an email notification backup system or be used to gather end-user input via surveys.
